Cut-ins, awards ceremony signs; War Office seal. VS, spectators in the inner court of the Pentagon. The awards are made as follows: 1st and 2nd awards, Stanislaus F. Danko, Neptune, N.J., and Moe Abramson, Long Branch, N.J., both employed at Sig Corps Engr Lab, Ft. Monmouth. 3rd award, Edward L. Brown, Picatinny Arsenal, Dover, NJ. 4th award, Theodore E. Jasin, Ravenna Arsenal, Apco, Ohio, Army Ord Corps. 5th award, John P. O'Hehir, Rocky Mt. Arsenal, Denver, Colorado. 6th award, Floyd W. Hough of Arlington, VA, employed as a geodetic engineer, Army Map Service. The awards are handed out by different officials and Mr. Brucker shakes hands with the recepients. ------ Sec. of the Army Brucker and Gen. L.L. Lemnitzer, Vice Chief of Staff, pin the Brig. Gen. stars on Col. Marshall in the Secretary's office. Gen. Marshall is a Reserve officer now working as a newspaperman in Detroit, Mich.

Lyman Louis Lemnitzer (August 29, 1899 – November 12, 1988) was born in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. He received his commission in the Coast Artillery Corps from West Point in 1920 and was an instructor at West Point from 1926 to 1930, and again in 1934 and 1935.
